WOE = Women Over Everything
Kamala Harris is making history and breaking barriers for ALL Black Women!
If yaโll forgot Who Runs The World,ย
Kamala โVice Presidentโ Harris made sure to remind us! GIRLS run the world, and specifically BLACK GIRLS! Real talk, there is a scenario where Kamala really does run the worldโฆ or at least whatever is left of the โFree Worldโ after the Trump administration. ๐คฏ
Before I go any further, please register to vote. Weโre less than 90 days out from the general election. If you donโt already know, a certain administration is not playing fair. So everything you need to register to vote is right here. If you live in Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Wisconsin, you are in a โswingโ state โ and if you want things to swing differently than theyโve swung over the last few years, you should check the deadlines for your state, register, and then vote.
Black Women are EVERYTHING!ย
This moment is not about the politics, save that for November 3rd. This moment is about the rise of Black Women. Throughout history Black women have helped save, nurture, create, and drive Black American society forward.ย
Kamala is a first generation Black and Indian American who graduated from an HBCU, is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated(insert hair flip๐๐พโโ๏ธ), and a member of Links. She has risen up through the political ranks and is creating an example for so many Black boys and girls to aspire towards. She even showcased that legendary Black women side ๐ on national television.ย
I am impressed Uncle Joe survived those debates. Seriously, though she represents so many parts of Black American culture it's hard not to get behind her. If that is not enough she is a living testament to progress. Exactly, 100 years ago women couldn't vote at all. Just 60 years ago Black America legally gained civil rights like ending discriminatory voting practices. And 12 years ago, gosh it feels like a lifetime ago, we said hello to the first Black president. It may feel like a long time but this is rapid societal progress. The generations before us put in a lot of hard work and blood equity to make this moment possible. That is why it is so exciting to know that, win or lose Vice President Candidate Kamala Harris represents the progress so many fought for but could never see.
Congrats to Vice President Kamala Harris! She may not be running as president but you best believe if shit hits the fan, I am glad she will have a seat at the table! (for ALL of us)
Cheers,
Enjoy the day!
PS sorry for typos I was excited when I wrote and edit this.
Black Men Repping for Kamala
